活动内容摘要:

Impacts of finite beta on the stability of magnetic topology, as well as the three-dimensional (3D) divertor heat flux distribution, have been explored and investigated for various magnetic divertor configurations on Wendelstein 7-X and  Large  Helical Device.  These studies revealed substantially different responses between configurations to high- pressure scenarios, both in the distribution and quantitative degree of stochastization at the plasma boundary. Employing the 3D edge transport code EMC3-EIRENE in tandem with the 3D non-linear equilibrium code HINT, it was found that the changing magnetic topology is significantly reflected in edge transport and divertor heat load patterns. The extended simulations indicate easier access to power-detachment in high-beta topologies, which is strongly favorable for future reactor operation.
